What to Watch on Thursday: 'Salvage Dawgs' switches channels, moves to primetime

Salvage Dawgs (8pm, HGTV) - This new reality series started out in November on the DIY network, but is getting bumped up to primetime on their higher rated sister network HGTV starting with tonight's episodes. The show, which follows a crew from Virginia that salvages vintage architectural items, is produced and edited by two local film companies. In the first of two episodes tonight, the crew remove a box-bay window and other valuables from a cabin built in 1892. At 8:30, they salvage a cast iron sink, a vintage cabinet, historical negative pictures and more.

Person of Interest (9pm, CBS) - While working undercover as a high school substitute teacher, Finch protects a teen genius who reminds him of himself. Elsewhere, Carter takes on a dangerous assignment for the FBI.

Elementary (10pm, CBS) - The general manager of a luxury Manhattan hotel is murdered, and his body is found inside of an industrial washing machine. Also, Holmes offers Watson an apprenticeship.

Buckwild (10pm, MTV) - A party leads to a showdown with a neighbor in the opening episode of this new series following a group of West Virginia friends.

Kathy Griffin: Kennedie Center On-Hers (10pm, Bravo) - Griffin performs a stand-up set featuring riffs on Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion and something she calls "The Real Couples Therapy Beyond Scared Housewives."
