Gallery: 'Dancing with the Stars' visits "Good Morning America"

"Dancing with the Stars" winner Jennifer Grey and finalists Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin all visited "Good  Morning America" this morning to talk about their experiences on the show and to have one final turn around the floor with their partners.

Also, DWTS pro Maks danced a cha-cha with GMA host Robin Roberts. Click the photo at left to see a gallery of images from that appearance. We also have a recap of the show.

'Dancing with the Stars' finale: Bristol misses chance to flip off America

Turns out, Bristol Palin didn't get to give a "big middle finger" to America last night. Instead, Bristol got schooled on this one very important fact: No one -- and we mean no one -- puts Baby in a corner.

Read below to see what our DWTS blogger Lenni G has to say about Jennifer Grey's big win last night.

There I sat, nervous as a cat in a room full of rockers. And then Jennifer upped the ante by announcing she had ruptured a disc in her back. But this is Jennifer Grey and we all know she will dance even if she's in a coma. There were two more dances to do for the judges' scores and nothing was going to stop her now.

Dancing with the Stars: From 'gorilla' to 'vanilla'

Our DWTS blogger Lenni G recaps last night's big show:

For the finale, we had a redemption dance (as in do it better tonight than you did it the last time) and a free style (as in do anything you want but make sure it's really good).

First up and dancing for redemption, Kyle and Lacey with a fox trot. Len stepped in as a coach and stressed that Kyle needed to bring his technique to a higher level. Kyle so got Len's message. As Len said, he went from "messy Massey to marvelous." Bruno thought it was slick, sharp and slinky, and Carrie Ann thought his footwork had improved, though she also thought he concentrated too much on his feet. Not sure how you improved your FOOTwork if you don't concentrate on your FEET but I guess Carrie Ann could tell me. Judges' scores: 9's from all three for a total of 27.

Redemption dance for Bristol and Mark: the jive without the gorilla suits. Bruno did the coaching here and asked Bristol to "improve her wild child" side. I'm assuming that would be Bristol showing more than one emotion during the dance. Bruno felt he "got something" out of her and that she had a good time. Carrie Ann thought her "top was great" but not her toes. Len said she went from "gorilla to thrilla." I felt she sort of went from gorilla to vanilla, but that's just me. Judges' scores: 9's from all three for a total of 27.

Dancing with the Stars: Time for tea and sympathy

Pretty much everyone was shocked by last night's DWTS elimination, including our own correspondent, Lenni G. She's still not over it:

Question: What are you watching when the couple who got a perfect 30 for their Argentine tango the night before AND got the encore spot from the judges is eliminated from competition? Why, of course, it's "Dancing with the Stars: TEA PARTY EDITION."

This was just wrong, really wrong. Bristol, who has been at the bottom seven out of the nine weeks, was voted through to the finals. Yes, people, the freaking FINALS.  I, along with lots of other folks, thought this might happen and, it did. Even Bristol looked shocked (so did Derek Hough -- see photo below). And the audible gasp from the audience when the result was announced said more than any words could.

Now that all the joy and energy has been kicked out of the ballroom, it will be really tough to watch Jennifer and Kyle DANCE for second place next week.

Dancer Mark Ballas on Bristol haters: "It's a dance show, not a political argument"

Happiness had a chance to talk to "Dancing With the Stars" pro dancer Mark Ballas today. He's coming to town soon as part of "Burn the Floor" at the Progress Energy Center, for a limited engagement starting Nov. 30.

We talked about that show, but we had to ask him some DWTS questions too.  It's elimination night, after all. A few excerpts from our chat:

On people who don't believe his partner Bristol Palin should still be in the competition: "I don't care what people say. I like to be positive, and keep an upbeat attitude. It's a dance show, not a political argument. Bristol is a 19-year-old, plucked out of Alaska. She's the only one on the show who is not an entertainer. She's the most normal person. People watch and say 'You know, if I was on the show, that's how it would be for me.' I've had people come up to me and say 'I'm 100 percent Democrat and I vote for Bristol because she's the most relatable.'

Dancing with the Stars: Can Bristol make the finals? You betcha.

Our DWTS blogger Lenni G on last night's action:

It's semi-finals night and we were treated to absolute perfection times three!

Brandy and Maks started the Latin round with a paso doble that oozed anger and aggression.  Carrie Ann found it "amazingly passionate" and felt that Brandy really connected to her character.  Bruno liked the anger and aggression though he felt it went "off a bit" in places and lost finesse.  Judges' scores - 9's from all three for a total of 27.

Jennifer and Derek's cha cha to "Beggin' You for Mercy" was, as Bruno said, "luminous, vibrant, and flawless." Jennifer promised in rehearsal to, "bring it on," and boy, did she ever. It was un - freaking - real!  Judges' scores - 10's from all three for a perfect total of 30.

Next up, Bristol and Mark (pictured here) with a paso doble which - wait for it - Bristol did really well. Loved Bruno's comment: "I'll be damned, you went from a lamb to a tigress."  Carrie Ann even called the cub over for a bear hug and told her she "nailed it."  Nice, very nice.  Judges' scores - 9's from all three for a total of 27, her highest total of the season.

Dancing with the Stars: Rick Fox is hot on 200th episode

Our "Dancing with the Stars" blogger Lenni G on last night's 200th episode:

It was the 200th show in the series so we had to celebrate. Many former stars were back either sitting in the audience or taking part in the dancing and judging.

The evening started with a team competition pitting Kristi Yamaguchi's group of Rick and Cheryl, Bristol and Mark, and Kyle and Lacey against Apolo Ohno's crew of Kurt and Anna, Brandy and Maks, and Jennifer and Derek. Team Kristi did the first cha cha to "Working Day and Night." Carrie Ann said Rick was "on fire" (and so was I), Len felt this team was the underdog but they "put up a good fight" (they did), and Bruno thought Bristol looked sorta "lost" (she was). As usual, I loved Kyle's performance and really feel he was the best of the three stars on this team.  Judges' scores - 8's from all 3 for a total of 24. This score will be added to the score each star receives for their individual dance.

Dancing with the Stars: Could baby cub be heading home?

Lenni G. wraps up last night's action:

Since the season is at the halfway point in terms of weeks, we were treated(?) to a complete review by the judges of all the remaining stars.  I say treated(?) since I'm not sure I really wanted to wait 30 minutes for some new dances.  Well, maybe I'm just impatient, but I'm pretty sure I knew most, if not all, of what each judge had to say about each star.  Let's move on to the real action -

First up for TV Theme Week were Brandy and Maks doing a quick step to the theme from "Friends." Len was impressed with her energy, Bruno complimented Maks on finding the "real Brandy," and Carrie Ann thought she was at a whole new level.  She has definitely improved but I'm still thinking that her relationship with Maks is far from "warm and fuzzy.". Judges' scores - 9's from all three for a total of 27.

Dancing with the Stars: Bad jive and hot wax

Our "Dancing with the Stars" correspondent Lenni G on last night's show:

Last night's show featured the worst jive in the show's eleven seasons, a lost bet which will lead to a hot wax moment on a male dancer's legs, and an appearance by the "Killa from Wasilla."

Dancing first were Rick Fox (left) and Cheryl Burke doing the jive. Egads, this dance was soooo fast (and good). The former Laker Guy got props from the judges for being a really tall guy with unusually (for a really tall guy) good dance skills.  Judges' scores - 7's from all three for a total of 21.

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas were next with a quick step.  Have to agree with Carrie Ann that Florence is pretty darn incredible for a 76 year old.  I, for one, really appreciate that this "more mature" woman is really taking the competition seriously.  Judges' scores - 7 from Carrie Ann, 6's from Len and Bruno for a total of 19.

Dancing with the Stars: The world (minus Germany) has spoken

Our "So You Think You Can Dance" correspondent is back for another season of "Dancing with the Stars" recaps. Here's Lenni's take on last night's elimination (also, be sure to check out our photo gallery from Monday night's show):

It was elimination Tuesday featuring Carlos Santana alone, Daughtry alone, Carlos Santana and Daughtry, and Carlos Santana and India Arie.  Obviously, Carlos Santana plays well with others.

And now for the elimination.

It's been all over the media already but ... SPOILER AHEAD!
