What to Watch on Monday: Jennifer Grey in ratings battle with herself

Chuck (8pm, NBC) - Casey is shadowed by his past when his former team returns and searches for him. Meanwhile, Chuck continues his quest to find his  mother, and Morgan tries to summon the courage to disclose a delicate secret to Casey. Guest stars include Eric Roberts and Dave Batista.

House (8pm, Fox) - The mother (Jennifer Grey) of a newborn with breathing difficulties and liver failure must make a very difficult decision that could affect her own health as well as her baby's. Also, Cuddy asks House to babysit her daughter, and he and Wilson learn a parenting lesson in the process. Grey is also on "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC, which competes with this show in the same timeslot.

The Event (9pm, NBC) - They said Hal Holbrook would be on last week and he wasn't (just his voice on the phone at the end) so I have trust issues now with this show.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - An extra body found in a casket during a funeral leads Beckett and Castle to investigate the love affairs of doctors at a local hospital. Also, Castle's girlfriend (who is also one of his ex-wives) tries to bond with Alexis.

Hawaii Five-0 (10pm, CBS) - The teen daughter of a US ambassador to the Philippines is murdered and her body is found off the Waikiki coast. Her sister is then kidnapped and it's the Five-0's mission to find her.

Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It (10pm, VH1) - In the opener of this new reality series, rocker Bret Micahels balances family life and being a touring performer, hitting the road for the first time since his brain hemorrhage.

What to Watch on Monday: Miss Universe and Jersey girls

Miss Universe Pageant (8pm, NBC) - The 59th annual beauty competition (no pretense here about scholarships!) is hosted by rocker Bret Michaels and Today correspondent Natalie Morales. Music from John Legend and The Roots. Celebrity judges include Criss Angel, William Baldwin, Evan Lysacek, Jane Seymour, and Chazz Palminteri. Donald Trump will also be there with his spray-on tan.

If God is Willin' and Da Creek Don't Rise (9pm, HBO) - Part one of Spike Lee's two-part follow-up to his Katrina documentary, "When the Levees Broke." The cruel people at HBO neglected to send us a screener, but we're pretty sure it's worthwhile.

Bond of Silence (9pm, Lifetime) - A widow (Kim Raver) tries to solve the mystery of her husband's death, which occurred while he was trying to quiet down a teen party, but no one involved is talking. Based on a true story. Read Adrienne's review.

Real Housewives of New Jersey (10pm, Bravo) - Tonight is the first part of the two-part season finale. Everyone is intent on banishing Danielle from their lives. The big showdown tonight is Caroline vs. Danielle.

The Big C (10pm, Showtime) - The realization of how little time she has left leaves Cathy (Laura Linney) with an inclination to appreciate and explore her body for the first time. She tells Paul (Oliver Platt) she wants to live apart for the summer, but he wants to try couples therapy.

Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - Bothered by the lack of Boston accents on this Boston-based crime dramedy? The show throws you a bone tonight by setting the crime in the middle of the Boston Marathon. See? Totally authentic. Balthazar Getty guest stars.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Dark Blue" returns for Season 2

Dark Blue (9pm, TNT) - In the second season opener, Carter (Dylan McDermott) and his undercover team join forces with an FBI agent to take down a regional crime boss, but things take an ugly turn when one of Carter's close friends becomes a victim. The premiere is a two-parter and the second part airs at 10pm. Adrienne and I are also putting together an undercover team to figure out who stole our "Dark Blue" screener out of the office. This could likewise take an ugly turn.

America's Got Talent (9pm, NBC) - It's elimination night and rocker Bret Michaels and British singer-songwriter Taio Cruz both perform.

The Fabulous Beekman Boys (9pm, Planet Green) - While Farmer John contends with all the new baby goats, Brent uses Josh's culinary skills to help market their cheese on the menu of Jean-Georges Vongerichten's restaurant, ABC Kitchen.

Top Chef: Washington DC (9pm, Bravo) - Not sure anything can live up to last week's diabolical Pea Puree-gate, but who knows. Tonight the chefs -- even the thieving one from Brooklyn -- prepare Ethiopian food.

Psych (10pm, USA) - A rich widow's young boyfriend is murdered and Shawn and Gus believe someone trained the man to be a con artist. Jean Smart guest stars.

Clay Aiken will guest host on "The View"

I know this will somehow be interpreted as me making fun of Clay, but I'm willing to take the heat from Claymates so you people can know what's going on: our favorite red-headed "American Idol" finalist is co-hosting "The View" this week.

Clay will fill the guest host spot on Tuesday's show. Bret Michaels is scheduled to perform, so I'm not sure if that means Clay won't sing.

Also on "The View" this week, Barbara Walters makes her first appearance on the show since her heart valve surgery. Walters will appear via Skype on Monday's show.

"The View" airs weekdays on WTVD at 11am.

Bret Michaels ready for Raleigh

Rocker Bret Michaels plugged tonight's show in Raleigh during his appearance on "Good Morning America" this morning, noting that he was heading this way as soon as he wrapped up his performance there in New York with Miley Cyrus

Michaels, who seems to be doing well after suffering some serious health setbacks this year, took a break from his nationwide tour to perform the Poison hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" with Cyrus on GMA. Cyrus covers the hit on her new album, "Can't Be Tamed." She said it's her mother's favorite song.

What to Watch on Monday: Bret Michaels' new reality show

The Bachelorette (8pm, ABC) - Seventeen men move into the bachelor mansion and begin courting Ali. Two men get one-on-one dates, including a private Jamie Callum performance in Las Vegas.

Thank You, Eddie Hart (9pm, UNC-TV) - The true story of a young Dutch woman who adopted the grave of North Carolina soldier PFC Eddie Hart near her hometown in Holland, and promised to visit it several times a year. She and her brother paid tribute to Hart -- a soldier they never knew -- for 57 years. Hart, from the 83rd Infantry Division, was killed in Germany in the waning days of World War II. Read more about Eddie Hart and the film here

Big Bang Theory (9:30pm, CBS) - It's a rerun but one of the show's funniest. Sheldon uses behavior modification methods to "train" Penny and alter some of her annoying habits. Think "dog treats."

Saving Grace (10pm, TNT) - With the celestial Earl in her corner, Grace must answer to a higher authority and deal with the judgment of her past behavior.

Cake Boss (9pm, TLC) - In the one-hour third season premiere, Buddy makes a cake for the New Jersey governor's inauguration gala.

Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It (10pm, VH1) - This is a preview of Bret Michaels' new reality show, slated to debut later this fall. This one should be a little different than his hit "Rock of Love" reality series, in which Bret tried out various skanky young women hoping to find a Mrs. Bret Michaels. He never did find her. This new reality show focuses on Bret's home life with his kids and the challenges of balancing being a rocker with being a dad. "Life" has temporarily halted production, but will resume as soon as Bret's health stabilizes.

"Celebrity Apprentice" finale rocks it. Hard.

Feeling a little like the only person in the world watching and blogging about "Celebrity Apprentice" here on "Lost" night, but someone has to tell the world if the job goes to Holly Robinson Peete or if Bret Michaels can rock it just a little bit harder than that.

To start the show, Trump, respledent in his fake orange tan, enters in a long black overcoat that looks almost like a cape with the wind machines going.

After a short recap, the show picks right up where last week's ended -- Bret searching frantically for a dolly track for his Snapple commercial. Sadly, no dolly track. But Bret has an idea to strap a stool onto a cart and shoot that way.

"I'm a problem solver," he says. "A rock n' roll McGuyver."

Bret Michaels suffers stroke, NBC finale appearance in question

Poor Bret Michaels just can't catch a break.

Bret, who already suffers from type 1 diabetes, had an emergency appendectomy last month, followed by an unrelated near-fatal brain hemorrhage. This week, Bret suffered what doctors call a "warning stroke." Bret felt numbness in his arm and attributed it to his intense rehab workouts, but visited his neurosurgeon who made the diagnosis. With this news, it was also revealed that the rocker has a hole in his heart (sounds like a good line for a Poison power ballad). Both conditions are considered treatable.

Bret Michaels talks to Oprah about his brush with death

Poison frontman and reality TV star Bret Michaels appears on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today to talk about the subarachnoid brain hemorrhage he suffered last month.

It's his first televised interview since the incident, which nearly took his life. Oprah asked Bret about wearing his trademark bandana even while in the hospital and he said: "Its like Superman without the cape. I said, 'If I'm
going out, I want to go out rockin'.'"

Bret is currently a finalist on "Celebrity Apprentice," and the winner is annoucnced live on the show this Sunday night. He still tours with Poison, who is scheduled to go back on the road this month, and also stars in a popular VH1 reality show called "Rock of Love." (If you're wondering why practically everyone you know in their 30s and 40s adores Bret Michaels, here's why.)

"Celebrity Apprentice" rocks it down to two finalists

Trump whittled the five remaining Apprentice contestants to four right off the bat tonight, and by the end of the show we were down to two. Who's still in it, out of Bret Michaels, Sharon Osbourne, Curtis Stone, Holly Robinson Peete, and Maria the wrestler (whose full name I still don't know, even after watching this show all season)? Keep reading to find out...
