Boomer Boyd takes 4th at nationals

The March Madness-like upsets that Cary’s Boomer Boyd has been a part of in the past two weeks in two different sports would make any college hoops team jealous.
After helping the boys golf team win its first conference match in more than a decade, Boyd finished fourth among 119-pound wrestlers in the national high school senior championships held in Virginia Beach, Va.
