A sad goodbye to the "Bonnie Hunt Show"

It should never surprise me when a show I love gets canceled. It happens a lot.

But the cancellation of Bonnie Hunt's talk show this spring was unexpected by me -- though it really shouldn't have been considering the fact that our own local distributor of the show (CW 22) chooses to air it at 3am when no one could possibly watch it.

Any surprise I had came from the fact that "The Bonnie Hunt Show" had so much going for it: a funny and lovable host, an amazingly cool set (modeled after the set from the "Dean Martin Show"), a live house band, a wonderful supporting cast that included co-producer and comedic actor Don Lake, and plenty of A-list guests.

Don't be tardy for the party on CSI: Atlanta

On Friday's "Bonnie Hunt Show," which incidentally featured a fairly contentious interview with former Illinois governor Rod BlagojevichBonnie Hunt and Niecy Nash reprised their "Real Housewives of Atlanta" spoof, making Kim Zolciak and NeNe Nash the stars of a new spinoff show, "CSI: Atlanta." The segment is completely ad-libbed and Nash especially gets off some great lines ("Your hair don't look plastic or nothing!" "We got a nail down!"). "The Bonnie Hunt Show" airs at 11am weekdays on WRDC.
