If you've never sipped a cup of Larry's Beans coffee, here's your chance to taste it free, meet Larry and tour the eco-friendly roasting facility (Larry calls it a green-o-vated beanplant).

Oh, and did I mention there's also free food from Neomonde, live music and Big Boss beer.

The tour and tasting is from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the bean plant, 1507 Gavin St. in Raleigh. But I wouldn't procrastinate if you're interested.

Durham's Broad Street Cafe is hosting a Big Boss Beer Dinner at 7 p.m. Feb. 8. You get five courses, five beers for $40.

Here is the menu:

• A reception with assorted cheeses and Amber Rye.

• First course: Wood Fired Citrus Marinated Salmon over Arugula Pomegranate Salad with Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing and Applewood Smoked Bacon paired with Angel Angel.

• Second course: Maple Glazed Pork Tenderloin with Apple Chutney and Gingered Sweet Potato Soufflé paired with Bad Penny

• Third course: Jamaican Jerked Chicken with Pineapple Salsa and Caribbean Coconut Rice and Peas paired with Hells Bells

• And for dessert: Espresso Creamed Tiramisu with Raspberry Coulis paired with the Big Operator
