Finally, the unaired episodes of "Better Off Ted"

ABC has refused to air those elusive final two new episodes of their canceled cult-hit "Better Off Ted" (that might cut into their "Bachelor Pad" time!), but at last, there's a way we see them.

The second and final season of "Better Off Ted" was released last week on iTunes and on Netflix Instant Watch (but not yet on dvd). That means you can purchase the episodes on iTunes or if you're already a Netflix subscriber, you can stream the episodes for free over your computer or Wii or however you watch your Netflix Instant shows.

"Better Off Ted" starred Jay Harrington as Ted, the R&D director at Veridian Dynamics, a powerful corporation that did experiments on its own employees, invented some truly evil products, and enforced twisted company policies. Their motto was "Money before People." The show also starred Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Ted's cold-hearted but hilarious boss. . . .

ABC to air last two "Better Off Ted" episodes. Maybe.

The sitcom "Better Off Ted," which is funnier than most of the sitcoms out there now, never got much respect from ABC. The promotion was light, the scheduling often seemed random, and then it was abruptly canceled before its season ended. The last two episodes, which were already completed, were never shown ("Pushing Daisies," anyone??).

Even now that the fall schedule is over, ABC would rather double-up on reruns of "The Middle" on Wednesday nights than let us see those last two "Ted" episodes.

Now there may be a way to see them....

Canceled: ABC ends "Scrubs," "FlashForward," and others

ABC is tossing some shows onto the trash heap today, too. "Scrubs" is toast and so is the new high-concept serial drama, "FlashForward."

"Scrubs" was canceled by NBC in 2008 and picked up by ABC in January 2009 for another chance.  But without its star, Zach Braff, it just couldn't pull numbers. "FlashForward" struggled in ratings after a strong debut. That show's series finale will air May 27. Since the writers weren't warned about the cancellation, don't expect much closure to the big "blackout" mystery.

Allysa Milano's weak new sitcom, "Romantically Challenged," will also not be returning. And as we have suspected for awhile now, the network has had it with the only true gem in this bunch, "Better Off Ted." Now that was a funny show. But in its Tuesday night timeslot it eventually choked to death on the fumes of a rotting, unfunny dinosaur (that would be "Scrubs"). "Ted" would have thrived on Wednesday nights...

On a positive side, ABC has renewed the rebooted Alien drama, "V."

What to Watch on Tuesday: Ted, Target, and ACC hoops

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry are guest judges tonight.

Better Off Ted (8:30pm, ABC) - I'm not going to shut up about this show till you watch it (or till it's canceled, whichever comes first -- and I think we all know which will come first). Tonight, Ted helps his brother get a job as a salesman at a company that supplies laboratory equipment to Veridian, and Veronica receives an award from a charity for girls.

College Basketball: UNC at NCSU (9pm, WRAL) - The game follows a new episode of "NCIS" (8pm) and pre-empts a new episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles," which you can probably watch online after tonight. [UPDATE: WRAL will also air pre-empted episodes overnight.] The "Good Wife" episode scheduled at 10pm was a repeat. Also, go Pack.

Human Target (9pm, Fox) - We're still enjoying this DC Comics adaptation starring Mark Valley (right) as the ultimate bodyguard, Christopher Chance. In this episode, Chance looks for a friend's killer and becomes entangled at the Russian Embassy.

Lost (9pm, ABC) - It's a repeat of the two-hour season five finale in case you need to get reacquainted before next week's premiere.

White Collar (10pm, USA) - Peter and Neal find information linking agent Fowler to a judge who is commiting mortgage fraud, and they devise a plan to hopefully bring both of them down.

What to Watch on Tuesday: USA's "White Collar" returns

The Biggest Loser (8pm, NBC) - The teams are split up into teachers and students. The teachers work out with Bob and Jillian and then must teach the students what they've learned. But the real twist comes when a player decides he/she wants to go home after a confrontation with the trainers, so he/she "throws" the weigh-in on purpose.

Human Target (9pm, Fox) - If you missed the premiere Sunday night because you were watching the Golden Globes, we're sorry for your loss. Now's your chance to right that wrong and catch the repeat. It's on right after "American Idol."

Better Off Ted (9:30pm, ABC) - If you're not watching this show, you should be!!! Ted tries to woo a visiting German executive using a Veridian translation device. The problem is, the device uses Phil's voice.

White Collar (10pm, USA) - After a short break, master criminal Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer, right) is back to start the second half of "White Collar's" first season. The only difference is that the show has moved from Friday nights at 10pm to Tuesday nights at 10pm, where it's up against "Good Wife," "The Forgotten," and after the Winter Olympics, Ron Howard's "Parenthood." Lucky for us, USA is generous with its repeats ("White Collar" repeats at 1am). Tonight's episode picks up where the midseason ender left off, with Caffrey's FBI handler Peter Burke (James DeKay) mysteriously greeting Caffrey's off-the-grid former girlfriend Kate. Hmmm. Even if you didn't watch the first half of the season, it's an easy show to jump into at any point

"Better Off Ted" is vulgar and filthy. Now will you watch?

"Better Off Ted" is consistently one of the funniest sitcoms on television, yet it struggles in the ratings and gets little love from ABC (who is blowing through the current episodes like they're being chased with a weaponized pumpkin).

Could a clip featuring some truly vulgar outtakes generate more interest in the show and save them? Well, let's find out.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Forget Simon, watch Ted

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - The Paula-free season 9 begins with auditions in Boston. Guest judge Victoria Beckham will be featured in the Boston episode.

Better Off Ted (8:30pm, ABC) - But instead of "Idol," you should watch this show, which is one of the funniest on television (though ABC is trying its best to get rid of it as quickly as possible). There are two episodes tonight and in the first, the Veridian staff starts using profanity after a typo in a company memo. In the 9:30 episode, Veronica (Portia de Rossi) resorts to sabotage when she learns another team is working on the same project as Ted's team.

Southland (10pm, TNT) - Okay, so technically these are repeats, but did you watch them? I didn't think so. Here's your chance. Starting tonight, TNT is airing all 7 of the episodes that ran on NBC this past spring, and then we'll get new episodes on March 2. Plus, tonight's episode has an extra 6 minutes that the weenies at NBC originally cut out. It's a good show. Watch it.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - A new episode tonight but it's airing after the basketball game on WRAL (Maryland at Wake Forest), so if you're DVRing, you might want to tape some stuff afterwards to make sure you get the whole thing.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Biggest Loser is back -- with another local woman

The Biggest Loser (8pm, NBC) - It seems like season 8 just ended last week, but here we go again. Another round (this one designated for "Couples") and another North Carolinian in the mix. This time we have Migdalia, a 28-year-old homemaker from Sanford, who will be at the Ranch with her mom Miggy, a chef from New Jersey. This season's cast is billed as the largest in the show's history.

NCIS (8pm, CBS) -  As the team investigates the murder of a Navy pilot, they must also deal with an attorney, played by Rena Sofer ("24," "Heroes"), who has a grudge against Gibbs.

Better Off Ted (8:30pm, ABC) - Veronica sees an opportunity to make people work harder after an employee drops dead at work. Another episode at 9:30, sandwiched between two new episodes of "Scrubs," has a chatty security guard getting too chummy with Ted.

This Emotional Life (10pm, UNC-TV) - Part two is about facing your fears and examines the negative emotions of anger, fear, anxiety, and despair. Read more about the series.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - Alicia represents the state attorney general's wife in her divorce, and learns more about Peter's legal troubles in the process.

What to Watch on Friday: Football and marathons

Better Off Ted / Scrubs (ABC) - After the Rose Bowl game between Ohio State and Oregon (start time 5pm), ABC will show new episodes of "Better Off Ted" and "Scrubs" -- look for them at approximately 8:30pm.

Sugar Bowl (8:30pm, Fox) - Or, if you still need your football fix, you can flip over to the Sugar Bowl after the Rose Bowl and watch Cincinnati vs. Florida.

I'm not much for football, so I am more inclined to tune in to the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" marathon. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of great marathons on today -- from "The Twilight Zone," "Criminal Minds," and "Law & Order: SVU" to "Looney Tunes," "Tom & Jerry," and more

What to Watch on Tuesday: Kennedy Center salutes DeNiro and The Boss

Rudolph's Shiny New Year (8pm, ABC) - Red Skelton narrates this 1976 tale of Rudolph's mission to find Baby New Year for Father Time.

True Blood (8pm, HBO) - The Season 1 marathon continues with three more episodes tonight.

Kennedy Center Honors (9pm, CBS) - Bruce Springsteen, Robert DeNiro, Mel Brooks, Dave Brubeck, and Grace Bumbry are the honorees. Guests and presenters include Jon Stewart, Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese, Carl Reiner, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Martin Short and Eddie Vedder.

One Big Happy Family (8pm, TLC) - The premiere of the new show featuring the Coles family from North Carolina. Two episodes tonight. Read our preview of the show.

Better Off Ted (9:30pm, ABC) - Veronica slacks off at work when her magician boyfriend Mordor shows up unexpectedly.
