Book giveaway: Bethenny Frankel's "A Place of Yes"

We're giving away a copy of a book by one of our favorite reality stars:  Bethenny Frankel's "A Place of Yes."

In it, in trademark frank, funny and sweet fashion, Frankel reveals parts of her life and the lessons she learned from mistakes and believing in her vision.

Maybe you're skeptical -- Why should I listen to her? What does she know? She just got lucky because she was on a reality show!

Think again. According to this interesting article in The Hollywood Reporter, The former Real Housewife of New York star saw what a lot of folks didn't see at first, namely that going on a reality show could help build her brand.

Sure everybody's got that message now, but Bethenny was ahead of the curve. And now the payoff:  Reports say her Skinnygirl cocktail line just got acquired for $120 million.

So maybe you do need to get to a "Place of Yes." Just send me an email with "YES" in the subject line. We'll randomly pick a winner.

Some changes, some things the same on "Real Housewives of New York"

Season four of "The Real Housewives of New York City" (Bravo, 10 tonight) brings real change. Bethenny, now helming her own delightful show, is gone, and so is her wit and level-headedness.

That doesn't mean the new season is a snore. Nope there's plenty of drama. And even more crazy. A quick rundown, after a two-episode screening:

LuAnn: Though no longer a countess, she still walks around like she's royalty and the epitome of class, although most would agree that acting haughty is pretty tacky. Add being two-faced and passive-aggressive to that list. She has a new boyfriend. Naturally, he's French.

What to Watch on Monday: 'Bachelor' Brad takes Emily to South Africa

How I Met Your Mother (8pm, CBS) - Barney realizes he has feelings for Nora, which makes him think there's something wrong with him. Yay. Just what I wanted -- another episode of Barney acting silly.

The Bachelor (8pm, ABC) - Brad takes Ashley, Chantal and Emily to South Africa, where the issue of "fantasy-suite dates" comes up. Brad then cuts one woman loose and takes the other two women to Cape Town to meet his family. On last week's episode, Brad travelled to Charlotte to meet Emily Maynard's little girl Ricki. At some point during this show, the competitors on the next season of "Dancing with the Stars" will be announced.

Chuck (8pm, NBC) - Chuck and Sarah orchestrate an intricate heist at a high-security bank. Also, the couple's wedding plans heat up, and an unforeseen twist marks Morgan's search for a new roommate.

The Chicago Code (9pm, Fox) - Jarek and Caleb try to stop a bomber who blew up a building and has plans for additional targets. Elsewhere, an armed teenager attempts to rob Gibbons, and this prompts him to recall his own upbringing and youthful ideals.

Being Human (US) (9pm, Syfy) - Emily and Josh return to their parents' house, and Aiden confronts Bishop over the attack on Emily. Also, Sally tries to reach out to her friend Bridgette.

Bethenny Ever After (10pm, Bravo) - The follow-up to "Bethenny Getting Married?" follows Bethenny Frankel, her husband Jason, and their new baby Bryn on their Hoppy family adventures. In tonight's premiere episode, the family visits Jason's hometown in Pennsylvania, but the rural environs prove to be a culture shock for Bethenny. There's also a pretty tense dinner with Jason's parents, who want more time with their granddaughter.

What to Watch on Thursday: Burt Reynolds is a spy and Bethenny is a mom

Burn Notice (9pm, USA) - Michael helps a former spy (Burt Reynolds) who is being targeted by Russian assassins. Read more about the episode here.

So You Think You Can Dance (9pm, Fox) - One of the six dancers is eliminated and there are performances by Enrique Iglesias, the rapper Pitbull, and members of the American Ballet Theatre company.

Rookie Blue (9pm, ABC) - A home invasion at a fashionable address prompts huge police response and ends up revealing secrets of the officers' off-duty lives.

Bethenny Getting Married? (10pm, Bravo) - Tonight is the night the baby comes! At least we know it's the night Bethenny goes into early labor (early by five weeks), which is quite a shock for her and Jason.

Boston Med (10pm, ABC) - A nurse treats a six-year-old girl who suffered from cardiac arrest, while a surgeon lobbies on behalf of a 55-year-old man in dire need of a heart transplant.

Royal Pains (10pm, USA) - A local food truck operator starts behaving poorly after finding success and Hank suspects there's a medical reason behind his sudden change. Also, Evan poses as the boyfriend of an heiress, whose actual boyfriend is much older.

A chat with our favorite Real Housewife of New York

It took a while, but I finally managed to wrangle an interview out of Bethenny Frankel, the smartest and least neurotic of "The Real Housewives of New York."

The hold up? An exercise DVD, planning a wedding, honeymooning, labor, a baby girl

But she finally had to come out and talk. There's a new show to promote, "Bethenny Getting Married?" and baby needs new shoes!

Read my (email) chat with Ms. Frankel here

"Bethenny Getting Married?": A break from the craziness

With her sharp wit and common sense observations, Bethenny Frankel is an obvious choice to break out of "The Real Housewives of New York" and get her own reality show.

And "Bethenny Getting Married?" (Bravo, 10 tonight) comes at the
right time. RHONY has been kind of painful to watch this season, with Jill and Bethenny falling out and Kelly falling apart.

"Bethenny Getting Married?" is a nice reprieve; the drama here is of the normal type.

Three Bravo stars get new reality shows

Show a little personality on an ensemble reality show and you might get a show of your own.

That's the moral of this tale: Bravo is developing three new shows starring Bethenny Frankel, Christian Siriano and Fabio Viviani.

Bethenny is one of "The Real Housewives of New York." Her new show will follow her career as a natural foods chef and her love life. She'll be on the next season of RHONY.
