Barbara Stager special airs on A&E

American Justice, a true-crime documentary series hosted by Bill Kurtis on A&E, will re-air their special on convicted Durham murderer Barbara Stager tomorrow, April 21.

"Till Death Do Us Part" will show at 10am and again at 4pm. A&E broadcasts locally on channel 27 on Time Warner Cable.

Stager was convicted in 1989 of shooting her husband, Durham High School baseball coach Russell Stager. Barbara Stager shot him in the head while he slept, and is suspected to have murdered her first husband Larry Ford in a similar manner, but she has never been tried for Ford's murder.

No doubt many locals remember the 1988 murder of Durham High School baseball coach Russell Stager at the hand of his wife, Barbara (left). There was a sensational murder trial, a best-selling book, and a Lifetime movie starring Jaclyn Smith (which was inexplicably set in Colorado). Now, with Stager eligible for parole this May, TLC is taking a look at the murder in its Personal Justice show tonight, in an episode called "Till Death Do Us Part."
