Never mind that we just celebrated the Fourth of July. The retailers are rolling out the back-to-school sales on glue sticks and binders, including those enticing 1-cent deals.
it's a chance to score yard-sale priced school and office supplies but be sure to do your homework before opening your wallet.
Be warned: Many sales have fine print attached to them.
Oftentimes, back-to-school sales -- especially those that began Sunday -- require a minimum purchase of $5 in order to score the 1-cent notebooks and erasers.
Granted, that's not hard to rack up if you're doing all your shopping in one store.
But if your kids don't start school until August, you might be better off picking up items here and there throughout the summer because the deals will get better as we get closer to the traditional start of the school year.
