A Food Lion in Cary is among 113 stores that will close across the United States, Food Lion's parent company announced today.

The store is located near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Maynard Road in a small older shopping center.

Identified as underperforming, the store has stiff competition in the area with an Aldi across Maynard Road and a large Harris Teeter on the other side of Harrison Avenue.
