"Abducted: The Carlina White Story" sells the wrong story short

Some crimes just scream Lifetime movie. I'm guessing that's what the network folks were thinking when they put "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" (8 tonight, Lifetime) in motion.

Woman finds out she was stolen from her family as a baby 23 years ago? Yes!  It's ripped from the headlines gold. And yet, "Abducted" is a mostly emotionless, by-the-numbers movie that only gets going toward the end of the film.

In 1987, 19-day-old Carlina White was snatched from Harlem Hospital in New York by a woman posing as a hospital worker. Her unmarried young mom and dad, Joy White and Carl Tyson, never stopped hoping she would be found.
