Report: JUCO center Young passes on Pack

The Monterey (Calif.) County Herald is reporting that Monterey Peninsula College center Andrew Young, who visited N.C. State this weekend, has chosen to attend Texas A&M.

The junior-college transfer would have filled the void left by DeShawn Painter, who is transferring to Old Dominion for family reasons.

Duke, N.C. State waiting on Wildcats

While North Carolina got a clearer picture of what its roster will look like in 2013, with the early exit of three underclassmen to the NBA on Thursday, Duke and N.C. State are still waiting.

The Blue Devils, on forward Mason Plumlee, and the Wolfpack, on forward C.J. Leslie, are both waiting for their respective pro prospects to make a decision about the NBA draft. The two Triangle teams are also waiting on Kentucky and the fate of a few key recruits. The Wildcats, the prohibitive favorite to win the 2012 NCAA title, are holding all the recruiting cards with the class of 2012.

New network aimed at African-Americans launching this fall

Joining BET, TV One and Centric is Bounce TV, a new television network aimed at African-American audiences that launches in the fall.

The venture is especially notable in two ways; it will be the first over-the-air televison network, employing the digital signals of local television stations. And the group putting the network together includes former Ambassador Andrew Young and Martin Luther King III.

According to Broadcasting & Cable, Bounce TV plans to broadcast a mix of theatrical movies, live sports, off-net series and original programmng aimed at adults 25-54. It will televise CIAA football and basketball games, including the CIAA Championship football game and some quarter and semi-final CIAA tournament basketball games.

Elizabeth Edwards talks about the chapter she hopes closes the book

No matter the negative things that have been said about Elizabeth Edwards, what can't be denied is that she's a beautifully articulate woman who has shown grace and class during a very ugly period of her life.

That continued during her interview this morning on NBC's "Today" show. Matt Lauer talked to Edwards about the afterward she's added to the newly released paperback edition of her book "Resilience." It focuses on the demise of her 32-year marriage.

Lauer, I think did a solid interview, starting first by asking about her health. Edwards said she was on a new chemo regime and was in a peak, healthwise, rather than a valley.

Elizabeth Edwards gives first interview since separation

The "Today Show" has snagged the first interview with Elizabeth Edwards since her separation from husband John earlier this year. Who's surprised it didn't go to ABC? Not me!

The interview with Matt Lauer will air Wednesday morning and she'll appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" later that same night.

John and Elizabeth's oldest daughter Cate wrote an essay for People magazine about her mother ....

Andrew Young chides Rielle Hunter on GMA for "lack of regret"

Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young appeared on "Good Morning America" this morning to respond to Rielle Hunter's interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" yesterday.

Young appeared with his wife Cheri, and were interviewed by GMA anchor George Stephanopolous. Young told Stephanopolous that what struck him most about the Oprah interview was Hunter's "lack of regret" and her reluctance to accept any responsibility for her actions. "As long as their cosmic needs were satisfied, everything else was subordinated," he said.

Recap of Rielle Hunter interview on "Oprah"

Oh yeah, Oprah asked Rielle Hunter about all of it: the home wrecking, the paternity lies, the sex tape, the pantsless GQ photos, and much more.

In case you missed the interview today, here's how it went down.

Rielle started off her interview with Oprah by acknowledging that no one in her life thought the interview was a good idea. But she wanted to do it because she said it "felt more right after Johnny claimed paternity publicly."

That's right. She calls him "Johnny."

Andrew Young to appear on UNC-TV's "NC Bookwatch"

"NC Bookwatch" host DG Martin sits down with former John Edwards assistant/confidant Andrew Young tonight to talk about Young's scandalous tell-all, "The Politician."

It's a special prime-time edition of Martin's show, which normally airs on Sunday afternoons on UNC-TV. Coincidentally, Martin was Edwards' opponent in the Democratic primary when Edwards ran for US Senate in 1998.

Andrew Young to appear on "Oprah" today

Andrew Young, former aide to John Edwards, will appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today.

Young is the author of the Edwards tell-all, "The Politician" and despite what anyone may try to tell you, not Elizabeth Edwards' BFF.

Young has been spending a lot of time lately in the Orange County court house, battling over a "personal" (i.e. "sex") tape in his possession, which allegedly features John Edwards with his former mistress Rielle Hunter.

It's a good thing those contempt charges didn't keep him out of Chicago...

John Edwards scandal: The Andrew Young TV tour

You're probably in one of two camps: Either you're sick to death of this x-rated homegrown trainwreck, or you can't wait for the next installment of "All My Love Children." If you're in that second camp, you'll want to set your DVR to catch all of Andrew Young's interviews as he jumps from show to show promoting his new book, "The Politician." So far, it looks like Young belongs to ABC, but if that changes, we'll add updates here.
