What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark's 'Cupid' and Zooey D on SNL

Cupid (8pm, Hallmark) - A new Hallmark movie in which a talk show host (Joely Fisher) receives a visit from a mysterious love expert (Jamie Kennedy) who promises he'll reveal her true love to her if she first helps other couples find each other. Her matchmaking doesn't go well and she starts to question her task.

Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown (8pm, ABC) - From 1975, an animated Peanuts special in which Charlie Brown keeps vigil by the mailbox, waiting for a Valentine. In a 2002 special that follows, the gang searches for the meaning of love.

America's Most Wanted (8pm, Fox) - In this "Crimes of Passion" special broadcast, a fugitive from Texas wanted for murdering his wife with chainsaws and a Pennsylvania man who murdered his wife in 2005. Happy Valentines Day!

Parking Wars (9pm, A&E) - Season six opens in Detroit and Providence, Rhode Island.

Saturday Night Live (11:29pm, NBC) - Zooey Deschanel ("New Girl") hosts and the music guest is Karmin.

What to Watch on Saturday: WWE troop tribute and 'Story of Santa Claus'

America's Most Wanted: U.S. Marshals Special Edition (8pm, Fox) - Regular series episodes of this show are now on Lifetime, but Fox will have a few specials each season. This is one of them. U.S. Marshals Service's 15 most-wanted suspects are spotlighted, along with the work of federal marshals.

WWE Tribute to the Troops (9pm, NBC) - Pro wrestlers and other entertainers gathered at Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville on December 13 for the WWE's annual tribute to the armed forces. Featured performers were Nickelback (pictured),  Mary J. Blige, and George Wallace. And of course, there was wrestling.

The Story of Santa Claus (9pm, CBS) - An animated musical from 1996 that explains how a toymaker named Nicholaus Claus (voice of Ed Asner) started the tradition of delivering toys to every child on Christmas. I haven't seen this so I'm not sure how it varies from the official story of Santa Claus ("Santa Claus is Comin' to Town") but they better not take too many liberties here! Betty White provides the voice of Mrs. Claus.

Earth's Final Hours (9pm, Syfy) - A doomsday scenario unfolds after a super-dense fragment of interstellar mass pierces the earth's core and slows down the planet's rotation.

CMA Country Christmas (9pm, ABC) - This is a repeat but it's another chance to see Scotty McCreery sing "The First Noel." Other performers include Darius Rucker, Vince Gill, and Faith Hill.

Pit Bulls and Parolees (10pm, Animal Planet) - A pit bull and her puppies must be rescued from an abandoned home, and Tia's daughter has a difficult choice to make when her dog's health worsens.

Saturday Night Live (11:29pm, NBC) - SNL alum Jimmy Fallon returns to host, and Michael Bublé is the music guest.

What to Watch on Saturday: Your pick of zombies or witches

America's Most Wanted (8pm, Fox) - In one of a series of special presentations of "America's Most Wanted" to air on Fox, host John Walsh spotlights fugitives from all 50 states.

From the Sky Down (8pm, Showtime) - Irish rock band U2 recall the recording and release of their 1991 album, "Achtung Baby," in this documentary directed by David Guggenheim.

Possessing Piper Rose (8pm, Lifetime) - A family experiences horrific nightmares after they adopt a 4-year-old girl whose dead birth mother seems intent on repossessing her from beyond the grave. Rebecca Romijn and David Cubitt star.

The Good Witch's Family (9pm, Hallmark) - Good witch Cassie (Catherine Bell, left) welcomes her long-lost cousin Abigail (Sarah Power) into her home. Abigail is up to no good, there seeking revenge for a childhood grudge. This is the fourth installment in the "Good Witch" series.

Zombie Apocalypse (9pm, Syfy) - A zombie plague decimates most of America's population and spurs a small band of survivors to seek refuge on the island of Catalina.

Zombies: A Living History (9pm, History) - The concept of zombies and references throughout history are explored, including the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Bible; Viking legends; and voodoo rituals of Haiti.

What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark tries to 'Rock the House'

CHAOS (8pm, CBS) - The agents go against orders to capture an arms dealer, but their actions trouble Rick, who must decide whether to report their unauthorized activities to the CIA director.

Cops (8pm, Fox) - In the 23rd season finale, police in Sacramento County, California, look for a parole who may be armed. Cops in Palm Beach County, Florida, and Pierce County, Washington, are also featured.

Rock the House (9pm, Hallmark) - A busy lawyer (Jack Coleman) struggles to make time for his teen daughter (Cassi Thomson) and their relationship suffers. But when the man reconnects with his high school band-mates, he sees positive changes in everyone.

2010: Moby Dick (9pm, Syfy) - Herman Melville's classic is retold with the modern-day captain of a submarine hunting the massive whale that once disfigured him in a terrifying confrontation.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - Season 24 closes with the search for a child predator in South America. This show will not return as a regular series. At best, look for occasional specials on Fox.

Independent Lens: Two Spirits (11pm, UNC-MX) - A documentary about Fred Martinez, who became one of the youngest hate-crime victims in modern history when he was brutally murdered at 16. The film explores the life and death of a gay Navajo boy who was also a girl, and the essentially spiritual nature of gender.

What to Watch on Saturday: New Syfy movie based on "Red Faction" game series

CHAOS (8pm, CBS) - The agents travel to Russia to track a scientist who is selling nuclear weapons. They pose as tourists who are searching for brides, but when one woman falls for Rick, their romance threatens to blow his cover.

Niecy Nash's Wedding Bash (8pm, TLC) - "Clean House" host Niecy Nash and her fiance Jay Tucker are followed as they plan their June 2011 nuptials.

Red Faction: Origins (9pm, Syfy) - This new Syfy movie, a sequel to the "Red Faction" video game series, is about a family drama that plays out as enemy forces clash over Mars 25 years after the planet was liberated from oppressive Earth forces. The action is set in the universe established by the video game franchise. Stars Robert Patrick, Brian J. Smith, and Kate Vernon. Here are more details on the movie.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - Tonight's show features a salute to the series' 2011 Law Enforcement All-Star, Officer Tommy Norman of the North Little Rock (Arkansas) Police Department. Norman, a 13-year veteran whose nickname is "Officer Friendly," is known for his off-duty community outreach work.

Surviving D-Day (9pm, Discovery) - A documentary examining the unconventional tactics and strategies deployed ahead of the pivotal WWII battle.

What to Watch on Saturday: NBA All-Stars are a slam dunk.

Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards (7pm, GMC) - The Gospel Music Channel airs the 12th annual awards show honoring gospel music legends Pastor Shirley Caesar and the group Commissioned. Performances by Ledisi, Lucinda Moore, The Soul Seekers, and others. Airs again at 8:30pm.

Must Love Cats (8pm, Animal Planet) - Host John Fulton checks out domestic and wild cats living in harmony in Mississippi, a popular cat on TV in Little Rock, and a cat scratching-tree builder in Kansas. I noticed that night footage (so funny) from last week's episode of the klepto-kitty from California made national news this week.

NBA All-Star Night (8:30pm, TNT) - Live from Los Angeles, watch the 3-point shootout, the skills challenge, and the ever-popular slam dunk contest. Scheduled dunkers include Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, and JaVale McGee. There's also a "Shooting Stars" event with NBA legends and WNBA players.

Being Human UK (9pm, BBC America) - Not to be confused with the American remake which airs on Syfy, the original UK version of "Being Human" premieres its third season tonight.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - In a special episode, host John Walsh attempts to find out what makes serial killers tick.  

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - Two murders are investigated and the probe leads from the Playboy Mansion to Wall Street.

Patrice O'Neal: Elephant in the Room (10pm, Comedy Central) - Comedian Patrice O'Neal performs in New York City. Topics include infidelity, safe sex, and harassment.

An Idiot Abroad (10pm, Science) - Tonight's episode of this always funny series sends Karl Pilkington to Egypt. I think now we have an alternate theory of what may have started that revolution.

What to Watch on Saturday: 'Most Wanted' hunts for Fayetteville killer

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - Featured fugitives include Jamaican drug lord Tobijah Nelson of Fayetteville, N.C., who is wanted in connection with the murder of U.S. Army specialist Charles Clements in a nightclub near Fort Bragg in March of 2009.

Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (9pm, Syfy) - Monstrous reptiles clash in the Florida Everglades when giant pythons threaten the alligator population. This stars 1980s pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany.

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - Cameras in a woman's closet reveal clues about her killer.

Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC) - Jesse Eisenberg hosts and Nicki Minaj is the musical guest.

UNCF: An Evening of Stars (11:35, WTVD) - UNCF presents the Award of Excellence to Chaka Khan in its 32nd annual event. This will also air at 8pm on WAUG (St. Aug campus cable) and on Sunday at 10pm on BET.

Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - Performances by Lyle Lovett and Bob Schneider.

What to Watch on Saturday: Farewell, Mr. Kringle. Hello, Mr. DeNiro.

Farewell Mr. Kringle (8pm, Hallmark) - A new Hallmark movie about a jaded journalist (is there any other kind?) played by Christine Taylor who receives an assignment to write a story about a Christmas-themed town. Once there, she sets her sights on discrediting the town's Santa (W. Morgan Sheppard), but his enthusiasm and kind spirit soon soften her outlook. During her stay, she also meets a former divorce attorney (Christopher Wiehl) and sparks fly, despite both of their doubts about love.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - Various and sundry fugitives are featured, and there's also an update on the baffling murder of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen.

Guitar Center Sessions: The Cult (9pm, DirecTV 101) - This episode features the legendary post-punk British rockers The Cult. Here's a preview.

Get Out Alive (10pm, Discovery) - The 1986 hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 is detailed in the opener of this new series featuring stories about people who survived perilous situations.

Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC) - Robert DeNiro is the host and Dirty-Diddy-Money is the musical guest.

What to Watch: The final "Outlaw," the third "Good Witch"

The Good Witch's Gift (8pm, Hallmark) - The third movie in the Good Witch series, in which Cassie (Catherine Bell) and Jake (Chris Potter) plan to marry on Christmas Eve. Despite the efforts of a fledgling event planner Martha (Catherine Disher), a series of problems arises in the days leading up to the wedding, threatening to ruin the big day. Directed by Craig Pryce.

Outlaw (8pm, NBC) - Okay, Jimmy Smits fans, this is the final episode of "Outlaw."  Tonight, after a murder victim's raging father kills the murderer in Mexico, the White House enlists Garza to help extradite the father back to the United States. Meanwhile, Mereta gets entangled in a legal snafu. Hope she clears that up quickly!

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - Tonight's episode is a Child Predator Crackdown Special Edition, which is a report on sex trafficking that includes an undercover report on the trade in southeast Asia and an interview with Cambodian women's rights activist Somaly Mam. Expect this to be pretty horrifying.

America's Cutest Cat 2010 (9pm, Animal Planet) - The premiere of a new series counting down the top Web videos featuring felines (And what is better than funny cat videos? Nothing.). 

The Lost Future (9pm, Syfy) - Set in a future where judges have overtaken the remnants of civilization, a tribe struggles to survive amid mutated creatures that carry a deadly disease.

Back from Hell: A Tribute to Sam Kinison (10pm, Comedy Central) - A tribute to the late comic featuring interviews with Denis Leary, Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Kathy Griffin, and clips of Kinison screaming -- I mean, performing.

Saturday Night Live (11:30, NBC) - The host is Scarlett Johansson and the musical guest is Arcade Fire.

What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark movie filmed in Wilmington

Outlaw (8pm, NBC) - A gang shooting at a school results in a student's murder and exposes widespread segregation at the school, triggering Garza's passionate attempt to end the injustice via legal action. Elsewhere, Lucinda surfaces as a prime suspect in a slaying.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - The International Manhunt Special Edition show features members of a gang of suspected jewel-heist suspects known as the Pink Panthers, who are wanted by Interpol for robberies around the world. The total haul is estimated at more than $100 million.

Undercover: Double Life (9pm, Discovery) - A phony jewel thief infiltrates the Gambino family as part of an FBI undercover operation.

A Family Thanksgiving (9pm, Hallmark) - A new Hallmark movie (filmed in Wilmington) about a career-driven attorney (Daphne Zuniga, right, "One Tree Hill") who gets a peek at a different path her life could take after she's magically transformed into a wife and mother by a mystical stranger (Faye Dunaway). Stripped of the career that dominates her world, she learns the importance of family and has big decisions to make when she returns to her old life.

Downsized (9pm, WeTV) - The Bruces, a large blended family, are short on their rent and look for ways to come up with cash in the premiere of this reality series following a family as they try to cut their day-to-day expenses. We have a review.

The Locator (10pm, WeTV) - In the Season 5 premiere, Troy Dunn helps a woman get answers from her mother, who left her with an abusive father. Also, an adopted woman looks for her biological mother.
