Despite the complications, they each meet potential love interests in their temporary new digs. Also stars Gil Bellows ("Ally McBeal") and Gabrielle Miller. Based on a book by Debbie Macomber.

Dear Santa (8pm, Lifetime) - A lonely 24-year-old woman (Amy Acker) discovers a letter from a little girl asking Santa to send her daddy (David Haydn-Jones) a new wife for Christmas, so she decides to seek them out in hopes of making herself their gift from Santa.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Robert Wagner arrested for murder

NCIS (8pm, CBS) - Boo! Fooled ya! Robert Wagner is arrested for murder but it's while he's playing Tony's dad on "NCIS." Wagner's character is suspected of murder when he's found in a car with a dead body and has no recollection of his actions. Tony is taken off the case, forcing him to disobey orders to prove his dad's innocence. Coincidentally, Wagner was just in the CBS lineup this past Saturday night, co-starring in an episode of "48 Hours Mystery: Vanity Fair Hollywood Scandal." On that show, a boat captain alleged that Wagner had a hand in the drowning death of his wife Natalie Wood in 1981. Awkward. (Note: That "48 Hours" episode was originally supposed to air this coming Saturday, November 26, but CBS rushed it to air a week early -- and so quickly that I didn't even know it was on. Here is the episode online.).

Dancing with the Stars (8pm, ABC) - The final three couples perform their favorite dance, and then the final two dance an instant samba before a winner is announced in the 13th season finale. Eliminated couples from the season return and Lady Antebellum perform.

Frontline (9pm, UNC-TV) - A report on the role that American citizen David Coleman Headley played in the 2008 terrorist assault on Mumbai, India, which left 166 people dead and more than 300 wounded.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Adam's marriage suffers after he confesses to an inappropriate interaction with the hot new receptionist at work (he totally led her on!). Also, Julia and Joel meet Zoe's boyfriend.

Sons of Anarchy (10pm, FX) - SAMCRO must negotiate with the Irish Kings to secure the club's future. Things are getting intense. After tonight, only two more episodes left this season.

Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel (10pm, HBO) - Tonight, a report on a tennis Hall of Famer accused of molesting girls he coached, and a profile of Butler basketball coach Brad Stevens.

What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark combines Christmas, romance and the lottery

Lucky Christmas (8pm, Hallmark) - A struggling single mom (Elizabeth Berkley, "Saved by the Bell") wins the lottery, but her car is stolen with the ticket inside. One of the thieves (Jason Gray-Stanford) develops feelings for her, however, and considers returning the ticket to save their budding romance.

Pit Bulls and Parolees (10pm, Animal Planet) - In the Season 3 premiere, Tia's moving plans hit a roadblock, and the staff experiences an emotional reunion.

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - The 2008 beating death of 19-year-old Jacque Villagomez is investigated, as are charges brought against her boyfriend, John Needham, a former soldier who served in Iraq and was given a medical discharge from the Army.

Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - Singer-songwriter Randy Newman performs.

Love Begins (9pm, Hallmark) - Clark Davis (Wes Brown) has adventurous dreams of seeing the world, but those dreams are put into jeopardy after he and a friend start a fight which damages a local cafe. Through a plea deal with the sheriff (Jere Burns) and cafe owner (Nancy McKeon), Clark works off his sentence as a farmhand for the Barlow sisters, Ellen (Julie Mond) and Cassie (Abigail Mavity). As time passes, Clark and Ellen begin to fall for one another.

Doctor Who (9pm, BBC America) - The time travelers arrive at a mysterious hotel that houses their deepest fears.

Home by Novogratz (9:30pm, HGTV) - An apartment shared by four models needs some personality and warmth (insert your own joke).

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - The release of the West Memphis Three (Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, Jessie Misskelley), who were convicted of murdering three 8-year-old boys in 1993.

Bad Dog! (10pm, Animal Planet) - A dog that plays the piano and sings (how is that bad!?) and a dog with an insatiable appetite.

What to Watch on Saturday: HBO dramatizes first reality show

Meet the Middletons (7pm, TV Guide Network) - The exclusive U.S. premiere of Britain's Channel 4 original special on the life of Prince William's fiance, Kate Middleton.

Chase (8pm, NBC) - Is this awful show still on? And this looks like a new episode, not even a rerun. Okay, well, the unit uses Annie as bait to capture a rogue police officer who preys on single mothers with the intent of getting close to their young daughters.

Cinema Verite (9pm, HBO) - A dramatization of the making of the controversial 1973 PBS documentary series 'An American Family,' the brainchild of a filmmaker (played by James Gandolfini) that followed the everyday lives of Pat and Bill Loud (Diane Lane, Tim Robbins) and their children as the parents' marriage disintegrated and the entire family struggled. Here's our review.

Roadkill (9pm, Syfy) - A group of young friends embark on a road trip across Ireland that results in the accidental death of an old gypsy woman, who summons a flying beast to kill them. Stars Stephen Rea and Eliza Bennett.

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - The show looks at the case of Anthony Graves, who spent 18 years in a Texas prison for a murder he didn't commit.

Cats 101 (10pm, Animal Planet) - All things kitten are discussed. This is a good place for me to plug the live KittenCam, which is most adorable.

North Carolina serial killer the focus of CBS' '48 Hours' show

Adam Leroy Lane, the North Carolina serial killer who randomly murdered women across the northeastern United States, is the subject of tonight's '48 Hours: Live to Tell.'

Actually, to be more precise, the Massachusetts teenager, who along with her family finally stopped Lane's killing spree, is really the star of the show.

In July 2007, 15-year-old Shea McDonough (left) was attacked in her Chelmsford, Mass., home in the middle of the night while her parents slept just down the hall. Awakened by the sound of Shea whimpering, her parents investigated and found the masked trucker from Jonesville attacking their daughter with a knife. Her parents bravely fought the much larger Lane while Shea called 911.

Must Love Cats (8pm, Animal Planet) - Host John Fulton checks out domestic and wild cats living in harmony in Mississippi, a popular cat on TV in Little Rock, and a cat scratching-tree builder in Kansas. I noticed that night footage (so funny) from last week's episode of the klepto-kitty from California made national news this week.

NBA All-Star Night (8:30pm, TNT) - Live from Los Angeles, watch the 3-point shootout, the skills challenge, and the ever-popular slam dunk contest. Scheduled dunkers include Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, and JaVale McGee. There's also a "Shooting Stars" event with NBA legends and WNBA players.

An Idiot Abroad (10pm, Science) - Tonight's episode of this always funny series sends Karl Pilkington to Egypt. I think now we have an alternate theory of what may have started that revolution.

What to Watch on Saturday: Sally from "Mad Men" gets a nicer life

Smooch (9pm, Hallmark) - In this cute new family movie, an imaginative youngster (Kiernan Shipka, who plays Sally on "Mad Men") comes across an amnesiac prince (Simon Kassianides), who she believes is a fairy-tale figure. Convinced the man would be perfect for her widowed mom (Kellie Martin), she launches a plan to set the two up, starting by tricking her mom into hiring him as the new nanny. Loosely based on Brothers Grimm story "The Frog King."

Husk (9pm, Syfy) - A weekend trip goes awry for a group of friends when crows force their car off the road and into a creepy cornfield where horror awaits them. Starring Wes Chatham, Devon Graye.

Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - Performances by Lyle Lovett and Bob Schneider.

What to Watch on Saturday: Get Elfed. Or Scrooged.

Jesse Stone: No Remorse (8pm, CBS) - This is a repeat, but it's pretty good. It's  Tom Selleck's sixth movie as New England police chief Jesse Stone. In this one, Jesse investigates a series of murders in Boston that may be linked to a mob boss, while deputies Rose (Kathy Baker) and Suitcase (Kohl Sudduth) probe a crime spree in Paradise.

Elf (8pm, USA) - A human (Will Ferrell, left) who has been raised by elves leaves the North Pole to search for his birth father (James Caan) in New York. It's hilarious. Also stars Bob Newhart, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen, and Zoey Deschanel.

48 Hours Mystery (10pm, CBS) - Members of the Gotti family discuss their father, the deceased godfather John Gotti, and life inside the mob.

Heads up for Sunday: Turner Classic Movies is having an all-day marathon of live-action Disney classics, starting at 6:30am with "Old Yeller." You might want to go ahead and set your DVR tonight if you think you'll be in the mood to cry till you heave anytime soon. "Pollyanna" comes on at 8am, then "The Apple Dumpling Gang" at 10:15. Check back here tomorrow morning for the full schedule.
