The Canes on Saturday reassigned center Jeremy Welsh to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL). Welsh is eligible to play in Charlotte’s game Saturday against Abbotsford.
Welsh, 24, is in his first full professional season. He appeared in one game for the Canes, getting 5:46 of ice time during the team’s home opener against Tampa Bay. Welsh has 13 points (6g, 7a) in 39 games for Charlotte this season.
