these games better be

these games better be broadcast in HD
or i will be p*ssed off!!

FS carolinas should have there studio here in raleigh!!

it is fs CAROLINAS

In response to

In response to "Michael/Procton": top points in the conference and sweeping your opening round oponent earns you the right to a week off and open the 2nd round at home at the next earliest time slot. . . since you "wanted to know". Should be a good series and a lot closer than the regular season proved to be between these two teams. Still like the Black & Gold in six, but hey, that's my biased opinion.

Here's what I want to know...

How is it that we got slotted into the Friday game when our final conference quarterfinal game was the latest and Boston has already been resting for a WEEK? Goes to show you the NHL does no favors unless you've got media golden boys on the roster.

Just got an update on this

Just got an update on this from the 'Canes message board (Paul Branecky posted this): Games 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7 will be shown by FS Carolinas. The Versus JIP means that they will pick up the FS Carolinas feed.

If every second of every

If every second of every game is not televised in a second round playoff series in a team's market than everyone from Gary Bettman to Peter K needs to be shot on site...the Buttmunch dream matchup of Washington vs Pittsburgh is all that really matters to the NHL TV brass...just leave the games on FSN Carolinas and who really cares what Versus and NBC and anyone else does...

TV Schedule

I looked at the Versus site and they seem to indicate that the Canes Bruins games will be shown in full by Vs and JIP by TSN. Unfortunately they also indicate the Ducks/Wings games will be shown in full. Maybe regional broadcasts? Vs also indicates they will not carry game 7 of the Canes/Bruins, if it goes that far, as only CBC is listed as broadcasting that game.

Looking at the VS website,

Looking at the VS website, it seems to say Versus JIP/TSN (though the way it's split on their site it has Versus on one line and JIP TSN on the next line).  This is confusing as to which one will be JIP but looking at the schedule on nhl.com, it shows this for 'Canes-Bruins Game 1: "Versus (JIP), TSN" (see here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=420555).  Thus it would appear that they will show our game only when the Detroit-Anaheim game is over.

when will times be

when will times be announced?

POOR VS COVERAGE

VS switched over to the Canes game 7 last night after the Caps beat NYR, but after about 5 minutes they left the Canes game and signed off their hocky coverage with 13 minutes still to play in the 3rd.
NOW look what they missed televising ! Another exciting Carolina Hurricanes finish.
Versus needs to decide if they really want to be a hockey network. So far I'm not impressed with their committment.

TV Schedule

Does anyone know if we will actually get to see the full game on Versus? Looking at the TV schedule on NHL.com, games 1, 3, and 4 say "JIP" which I'm interpreting to mean "Joined in-progress" because these go head-to-head with other games Versus is showing that start at 7pm.
