Lavi will be the head coach of another team...
Thu, 12/04/2008 - 11:58 — hurricanes17within a week or so. I only hope he doesn't go to Tampa or Atlanta. If he ends up in Edmonton, I will have yet another reason to become an Oilers fan.
Tough choice
Thu, 12/04/2008 - 10:17 — joeb9113Hard to disagree with management on the hiring and firing, even though I hate to see Laviolette go. Change might have been necessary, but a change with a 3 game homestand in 4 days against Pittsburgh, Philly and Washington. Geeze, good way to set up the new (old) guy for failure right off the bat. If he loses these 3 games, the fans will boo them out of the building. Should have given Peter a chance with the 3 home games, then make the move, if necessary. Good luck.............

That would give the new coach 3 days to get ready for a road trip to PHL and NYR and perhaps give time for the goalie to return. But that might have been too easy on the new guy and this is hockey...nothing is easy in hockey.
