Must be pretty galling for the #1 seed team to get beat by the #6 team, especially one in a southern town which clearly does not "deserve" to even have a hockey team, eh, HTW?  I'm not sure you and your team can ever live down that embarrassment. 

 Oh and Aaron Ward totally deserved the punch. 

Thanks for bringing this forum back to what it should be about; reflecting on our great season and looking forward to next year.  I've had enough of the trash talking.  The Canes were the better team against Boston and the Penguins kicked our butts...end of story!

As for the Pens - please bring the cup back to the Eastern Conference...where it belongs.

By the way, the entire time I lived away from God's Country (All of New England), I remained a loyal resident and fan of local teams. I'm rooted. You're a transplant. A shiftless wanderer with no real identity. You're a gypsy. You trade teams to suit your vagrant existence. 

Bottom line: Bs and Canes lose. And Detroit will win in 6 games. I'm a fan of neither Pitt or Detroit. But I know a cup-calibre team when I see one, unlike you, the hopeless fanboy. The reason I dislike you (I don't dislike the canes...I couldn't care less about them one way or the other), is because you are all fanboys who came up with excuse after excuse when your team failed. Most of you never gave the other team credit when due. Unlike me, who gave the canes plenty of props when they deserved it, and plenty of criticism when they didnt. I also criticized my Bs. Why shouldn't I if I'm unhappy with the product? But all you people could say is coulda woulda shoulda. The refs were unfair. The league doesn't want the Canes to win. The other team's players are dirty. Etc ad infinitum.

By the way, the seafood houses in NC bite hard. Especially that fraud fish house Dirty Dick's. I love how they claim to have the best seafood and then proceed to fry everything until you can't tell one item from the other. They wouldn't know a cod if one slapped them upside the head.

However, I will give props to the fishing off the coast. I never caught so many fish in a three hour span as I did off of Nags Head. That was pretty special.

Too bad no one there knows how to prepare fish.

 Before you made your final pot-stirring post in the Bruins-Canes threads and then announced you weren't going to stick around to take the heat, if it came, I tried to be polite (I think) and respectful. The only thing I called you out on was your apparent hardon for Luke.

You showed your true colors and your true self when you departed after spewing your nastiness and not being man or fan enough to take your payback.

Now, sir in spite of your assertions to the contrary, not all Cane's fans think our team is without fault or even unable or unwilling to admit when we're being beat by a superior opponent.  Pittsburgh, for these past 3 games is certainly superior to the Canes, definitely to the Capitals and Flyers as proven by those series, and if it gets that far and it certainly does look like it will, may be superior to either the Red Wings or the Black Hawks.    There it is, black, bold, and italicized to make it easier for you to find through your fogged vision.   Does that satisfy your compulsive need to feel superior?   If so, enjoy your pyyrhic

Do I still hold out hope for my guys to come back and win this series?  You're damn right I do.   Is it possible?  You're damn right it is.  Is it likely?  As a *hockey* fan as opposed to a *Canes* fan, you're damn right, it's NOT. If that happens, and we lose, is that going to stop me and whole pile of Nascar loving (Nascar? Nascar ain't NOTHING till you've driven from Queens to Montauk on the Long Island Expressway on any given Friday between June and September.  Oh, and Route 128 is a backwoods drive in the country by comparison.  Yes, I've been on both more times then I care to have been.); beer-swilling (can't stand the stuff); redneck (I'm a Jewish yankee from Lung Island); well educated (I even graduated from High School, not to mention two Universities) and 10 or 12 or 16 or 18 thousand of my friends from being in the building tomorrow night, maybe next week, maybe the week after that, and CERTAINLY next September ... IT MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT!

On the other hand, by having a two week head start, it is entirely possible that the Bruins players may be able to, for a while anyway, beat the Canes players on the
golf course.

Before the series started I came on here to see what your fans thought. All I read was how pathetic the Pens D was...that they wouldn't know how to handle the Canes pressure...that Ward would shut them down....

When I responded I was told how you smacked around other teams fans, how funny it was that I said Scuderi and Gill would shut down your #1 line...and that the Pens had 2 good players and a bunch of scrub wingers.

After the Pens made dogmeat out of your team...Why wouldn't I give a little back to the know it alls that gave it to me?? Don't tell me you tough guys have now developed feelings and are hurt.... Perhaps you can get together with Ward and Cole and have a group cry.

You have a decent team but Staal needs some help. Before the series all I heard was how much deeper you were than the Pens.... Hmmmm... I'd take the Pens third line over your first. Don't worry....I'm sure there's a race somewhere this weekend.
