Sutter, Pitkanen, Kaberle on the ice

Bookmark and Share

The injured are back on the ice. Brandon Sutter, Joni Pitkanen and Frantisek Kaberle all are skating this morning at the RBC Center.

Sutter and Pitkanen have been out since the Oct. 25 game at the New York Islanders -- Sutter with a concussion suffered after a mid-ice hit from Doug Weight, and Pitkanen with a knee injury.

Kaberle suffered a hairline fracture of his foot Oct. 17 during the Canes' game at the L.A. Kings.

The Canes, coming off the 3-2 loss at Washington on Thursday night, are not holding a pregame skate before tonight's game with Ottawa.

Matt Cullen, who has been sidelined with a groin injury the last three games, also is skating this morning.

I'm Sure The team

As a whole are glad and happy to see those 3 up and on the ice trying to get and stay fit ...But they should be careful...come back too soon...and we got worse troubles at the wrong time !

Go Canes & Rats !!

Getting Old

Seriously - how hard is it to ask Laviolette or anyone else either last night or this morning - HOW IS BRIND'AMOUR?

Brind'Amour

What about Roddy? His injury doesn't warrant a mention? :(

Great news.

This is sure good news to hear some of these guys are close to returning.

I just wanted to comment that the boys played hard last night and were on the short end of the game. I agree it was game we should have won, but to me their effort was a lot better and more consistent for the whole game. The lapse at the end was disappointed, but I have faith they'll rebound tonight.

Just imagine what we'll do with our full roster.

Also maybe we should investigate the curve on Semin's stick? The close up shot off after the game winning goal it looked a tad bit illegal...

Good news

The fact that Sutter is skating already sounds like good news to me. It still could be a while, but this is a positive sign for sure!

Is any of them likely to

Is any of them likely to play tonight or sunday?

Brind'Amour

Any update on his condition?

That's good news

That's good news at a time when we need it. Would like to hear more on Sutter, as there hasn't been much chatter out of his camp.

But most importantly today, any word on Roddy?
