Brandon Sutter scored in his first AHL game of the season and Justin Peters made 36 saves as the Albany River Rats defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 3-2 in a shootout Wednesday.
The River Rats were playing their first game since last week’s bus crash and had five new players in the lineup including Sutter, who was sent down to Albany by the Hurricanes on Wednesday.
Sutter's goal came in the second period, Sutter taking a pass from Noah Babin near the blue line, slipping around two Bridgeport defensemen and scoring.

Quick payoff
