Eric Staal and Joni Pitkanen were not at the Canes' practice today at the RBC Center.

Canes coach Paul Maurice said Pitkanen, who still has soreness in his knee, will not play tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He said Staal experienced some "tightness" in Monday's practice but is expected to play.

Maurice mentioned after Monday's practice that a few players were having minor respiratory problems. Jussi Jokinen, who missed Monday's workout, was back in practice today.

Well, Staal hasn't shown up

Well, Staal hasn't shown up for any games. So he may as well not show up for practice either.....

It looks like

several folks forgot THE #1 Rule for prevent defence for colds and & etc...

Wash your hands,Wash Your Hands & Wash Your Hands !!!

When i was way younger and we played out side alot...i used to also spray the inside of my gloves with slightly deluted Lysol consontrate...never got sick from colds or flu...but my alergies...man even a 38 cal. asprine would help with the pressure from the nasal congestion in my face then... now i just take a pill that wasn't invented yet...gee how time flys !!!

so all you fans who do go to the RBCC take a hand sanitizer with you...after all you don't know who touched that door handle or railing had a cold or sneezed on & in their hands do you ? After all safety first is the thing to do right ???

Go Canes !!

sick

I got sick a day or so after going to the game last Friday. Hmm...;)

IR Time for Joni

Bring up D-Man from Albany!! Hopefully someone who can direct the PP.

Scotty's cold must have spread

A week ago, Scott Walker was held out of practice for a "cold".

Sounds like they didn't contain it. It must be going through the team.

It may be more than a cold, but I don't want to start a rumor. Even if it is "that other thing going around", it is usually mild, but it will whack your breathing for a while.
