The Hurricanes released their preseason schedule today, with two games each against Washington, Philadelphia and Nashville.
One tidbit that wasn't in the release, and you read it here first: I'm hearing the Canes will host the Florida Panthers at the RBC Center on Oct. 10. Not sure whether that's Opening Night or their home opener, but mark your calendar.
Word is the regular-season schedule should be out next week, as early as Wednesday or as late as Friday.
Looks like there's no free-to-the-public game this year at this point, other than the scrimmage, but that may change at some point.
Anyway, the schedule:
Sunday, Sept. 21 Caniac Carnival/Red-White Scrimmage, TBD
Wednesday, Sept. 24 vs. Washington, 7 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 25 at Washington, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 27 at Philadelphia, 7 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 28 vs. Philadelphia, 5 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 2 at Nashville, 8 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 5 vs. Nashville, 3 p.m.
