The Canes have reassigned forward Jon Matsumoto to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL).
Matsumoto, 24, recorded two goals and averaged 7:44 of ice time in 10 games during his first stint in the NHL after being recalled from Charlotte on Oct. 31.
Prior to his recall, Matsumoto totaled three goals and six assists (9 points) in 10 games for the Checkers.
