TAMPA — The Hurricanes have recalled forward Pat Dwyer from the Albany River Rats (AHL), coach Paul Maurice said today.

The Canes lost forward Patrick Eaves to an upper-body injury Friday in the 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Maurice said Eaves did not injure his shoulder — a problem that has knocked Eaves out of games this season.

"It's muscular and we just hope it settles down," he said, without being more specific. "We're not expecting it to be long-term."

In 25 games with the River Rats, Dwyer has seven goals and 10 assists.  Dwyer has played 12 games with the Canes this season, scoring a goal against Philadelphia, and was effective on the penalty kill.

"We've got some other guys up front who are dealing with a host of minor, nagging  things that won't keep them out of the lineup, but if we need somebody who can pop up in the top nine and run somebody harder, that's why we brought him up," Maurice said.

Corvo said it And...

as Dwyer repeated it when Dwyer was interviewed by the local ( Albany, NY Rats radio crew) when he returned to Albany the last time...And GENO..your "home training" is showing ...As the only thing i do have to for pain in my spine is naproxen 500mg...as and if i was to take anything elsefor what is going on in and around my spine, i'd have to registered with the FDA, and the state pharamcy board. But seeing that I am and remain clean and sober after 40 plus years,I don't think you or anyone else would want or desire to be dead in the same universe alone with me if i was to go back to drinking and druggin. But seeing i am old guy,who doesn't know anything. You have no reason to fear..right ? Or i guess i could stoop to a lower level and say " Bite me", but I respect my Home training too much to do that. Not like others ...

Go Canes !

Yo Geno...

Why don't you and a few of your friends pool together ...and buy the Canes..so you can show, we fans and the entire NHL...how to turn a sinking ship into the QE2 where everybody will want to come.. and throw 6.00 dollar hotdogs at stormy for being droll, or Forslund & Tracy for just showing up and saying ..." hello Everyone & Welcome to"...it could be a wonderful experience for all the STH's and their families you know...

hey you coud even have a Billy Graham" impersonator there at center ice for a taped commercial and say " Won't you come...won't you come ?? And maybe every game would be a sell out and everyone would kill each other to get in...Will that work for you ?

My mistake...

Your Lithium is needs adjustments.  You'll get it right...someday.

There's Hope You say- To Geno

Thanks, but remember you need to get those "planks" out your own eyes...instead of worrying about the specks in mine.

Eaves' salary: $1,400,000

Can Rutherford justify a player who earns more on injured than playing?  JR, this move just didn't pan out...

.......

huh? where did corvo say that, esteban?

Relax

Estaban's Ritalin is running low...

Corvo will lke that

as he does like Dwyer and his style of play...!!
