The Hurricanes announced Thursday night that they have invited 41 players to their preseason training camp that begins Saturday— four goaltenders, 13 defensemen and 24 forwards.
Nine players who represented the Hurricanes during the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, MI, will join the main camp: forwards Brandon Sutter, Zach Boychuk, Drayson Bowman, Chris Terry, Matt Kennedy and Nick Dodge; defensemen Jamie McBain and Brett Bellemore; and goaltender Mike Murphy.
Defenseman Casey Borer will come to Raleigh for neck surgery and will not participate in the camp, the team announced.

Regarding Paradise, I did
Fri, 09/11/2009 - 11:05 — Otag1Regarding Paradise, I did not see any minutes logged for him on the scoresheet from the championship game at the prospects tourney, he may have an illness or minor injury. Plus I do not believe he has signed a contract as of yet. He is also most likely off to begin his collegiate career, I believe classes have already begun, he may have left Traverse City before the final game of the prospects tourney.
Good question
Fri, 09/11/2009 - 08:46 — HockeydogYou would think he would just to get that exposure you talk about. Must be some reason, the Canes have always done just that, like every other team. Any insight on that one Chip??
Paradis
Thu, 09/10/2009 - 22:35 — abramsdougAny idea why Paradis did not receive an invitation to attend the camp? It seems like the time in camp would be helpful to his development; but the coaching staff must have some strong reasons for their decision.
