Boychuk and Dwyer assigned to Albany

Bookmark and Share

The Hurricanes trimmed their roster by another two this morning.

With the team preparing for tonight's home preseason game (Atlanta Thrashers, 7 p.m., 99.9 FM The Fan), forwards Zach Boychuk and Patrick Dwyer were assigned to the Canes' American Hockey League affiliate in Albany, N.Y.

With Carolina opening the regular season on Oct. 2 at home against the Philadelphia Flyers, that reduces their training camp roster to 25.

Write a letter

Does every thread need a post about moving the AHL team to Charlotte? It's getting as bad as the spam around here.
If you're this passionate about it, write a letter to Mr. Karmanos because I really doubt he gets his business ideas by reading this blog. Help him pay to move the Checkers out of town first so you can have access to the arena. Better yet, buy Dorton Arena and move them to Raleigh if you like.
