For those wondering how Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Andrej Meszaros fared from taking that deflected puck in the face Saturday night after a shot by the Canes' Anton Babchuk, here's what the Tampa Tribune reported:
Meszaros needed 64 stitches in the upper lip, inside the lip, in the gum line and the along the roof of the mouth. Injured in the final seconds of the second period, he did not return, but did play Sunday wearing a wired cage for protection.
