NHL commissioner Gary Bettman toured the Triangle on Friday, visiting hotels and Raleigh's new Convention Center as he prepares to live up to his 2001 promise to bring an All-Star Game to the RBC Center.
Bettman wouldn't offer any hint of a potential date, but all indications are that the league has the Triangle penciled in for 2013.
"When we made the commitment, these were the things I was told were going to be in place," Bettman said. "We owe an All-Star Game, and I can't as I sit here today say when it will be, but we will get the Triangle into the rotation."

Fri, 02/20/2009 - 23:43 — richardfocWell Forslund isn't right or wrong. He simply asked a question and got an answer. No reporting involved. Luke, on the other hand, obviously has sources who are telling him that 2013 is the year and sooner or later the commish will announce that publicly...or not. I guess you will know if Luke and his sources were correct when they announce who has the 2013 All-Star Game.
the question was
Fri, 02/20/2009 - 23:07 — esteban1949who was correct in their reporting...Forslund who had the Commission on and did ask him for a date...or was Luke right from what ever sources he used ? concerning getting an All-Star game at the RBCC...
Forslund had
Fri, 02/20/2009 - 22:27 — esteban1949the NHL Commissioner there for an interview and he asked the Commish, but he didn't to commit to a definate date but did say that Raliegh was in the rotation to have an all-star game...so who is right ?
