Tanzania's ambassador to the United States will visit N.C. Central University in Durham today.
Ombeni Y. Sefue visits campus this afternoon as part of Durham's "Sister Cities" program. Arusha, Tanzania is one of Durham's four sister cities.
Sefue's visit will not be open to the public.
Sefue became his country's U.S. ambassador in 2007. Prior, he was Tanzania's high commissioner, or ambassador, to canada. A career diplomat, he formerly served as speechwriter and personal assistant to Tanzanian President Ali Hassan Mwinyi.
