N.C. Central University has turned an ongoing internal audit over to state regulators after discovering evidence that a former university employee embezzled funds from a project funded in part by federal and state grants.
NCCU has found that the former director of the Historically Minority Colleges and Universities Consortium, for which NCCU was a member and fiscal agent, funneled some of its funds into a personal bank account, according to a March 29 letter to state officials from NCCU Chancellor Charlie Nelms.
“It now appears that substantial funds may have been diverted into this Bank of America account,” Nelms wrote. “The account may also have been maintained covertly by the former employee for improper purposes.”
The amount of money in question isn’t specified in the letter, and NCCU officials have declined further comment.
But over the last decade, the program has received more than $13 million in funding from state appropriations, federal and state grants and private foundations.

Of course, I am sure that some will attempt to explain to me that it is unfair prosecution. When the black community starts paying attention to the problems as outlined by the likes of Bill Cosby and Walter Williams, I feel that the percentages will start to be representative of demographic mix.
Our prisons population is majority black. We hear excuses being made that there is unfair prosecution and a black is far more likely to recieve a active sentence.
Some day, we will be color blind and will accept responsibility for our actions without attempting to find excuses -- I hope that I live long enought to be a part of that. Good people of all races should demand equality without attempting to excuse the behavior of people that break the law. Even the likes of liberal NPR journalist Juan Williams has it right on this issue.

In my case, I chose my College based on MERIT.
I chose the "Institute of Technology" that I attended because it is a Top 10 institution .
There are NO Historically Black institutions in the Top 20 Universities.
People who choose a school based on RACE are Racist or stupid or both.
They are also being shortchanged in their education.
