A senior vice president in the Raleigh office of giant public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard's has departed to launch her own agency.

Dana Hughens, who headed public relations for Raleigh advertising agency RBW prior to her three-year stint at Fleishman, has founded public relations and marketing communications firm Clairemont Communications.

For the moment, she's flying solo.

"But I don't expect to be a sole practitioner," said Hughens. "I'll be hiring as soon as I can."

First, however, she needs to sign some clients. As she puts it, "I'm proudly starting at zero."

Congrats

Dana, that "proudly starting at zero" won't last long. Your drive and commitment to your client is evident in everything you do. Best of luck to you and Clairemont Communications.
