PowerSecure International, the Wake Forest energy services company, has gone on a hiring binge this year as it emerges from a recessionary lull.
The company said this afternoon it has hired 60 people over the past four months in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Texas.
PowerSecure now employs 460 as it continues hiring to keep up with customer orders for its products in energy efficient lighting, utility services and backup power generators.
"Our hiring over the last several months reflects the optimism we have about this year, and beyond, as signs of an improving economy and increasing business investment continue," PowerSecure CEO Sidney Hinton said in a prepared statement.
PowerSecure employs 130 locally, including 28 in Raleigh, 60 in Wake Forest, 19 in Morrisville, 23 in Research Triangle Park.
