A day after Iatria Day Spa closed its doors, area spas are lining up to snap up its customers.
Several have offered to accept Iatria's outstanding gift certificates, both as a gesture of good will and as an attempt to woo displaced spa-goers.
Here's a list of area spas that have thus far offered assistance:
*ROI Salon at 617 Oberlin Road is offering 100 percent of the certificates' value. Call 919-833-2577, press 1 and ask for owner Roi.
*Nirvelli Day Spa in Cary's Preston Corners will also honor the gift certificates at 100 percent for the next eight weeks. However, in order to get the deal, the salon is requiring you to purchase a gift certificate for its salon in the same amount. So, if you have a $100 gift certificate, you will have to buy a $100 gift certificate to get the match. Call 238-5040.
*Tanas Hair Design and Day Spa is offering 50 percent of the certificates' value at all three of its locations. Certificates may be used for spa and salon services or salon products. Offer not valid in December. See Web site for locations and contact information.
*Bloom Skin Spa in Cary will honor the certificates at 50 percent. Call 919-454-4997.
*Jolie Day Spa in Cameron Village will also honor the certificates at 50 percent. Call 919-834-1772.
*La Thérapie Spa at Preston will offer a 30 percent discount to all customers with an Iatria gift certificate. The company will also donate $1 for each Iatria gift certificate received to a local charity. Call 919-380-0041.
*Hands on Health in Cary will honor 50 percent of any gift certificates for massage services only. See Web site for details.
*BodyLase Skin Spa in Raleigh and Cary is also offering to honor Iatria's gift certificates at 50 percent of the certificates' value for any service.
*Radiance Med Spa of Raleigh will match the gift certificates at 100 percent for skin care services (not good on products).
*Douglas Carroll Salon, Spa and Boutique of Raleigh is offering 25 percent of face value for use in its Salon, Spa or Jbat boutique.
*Skin Sense, A Day Spa will honor gift certificates up to 40 percent for Skin Sense treatments at its locations in North Raleigh, Cary and Brier Creek. Call 919-870-0700.
*Synergy Spa in Raleigh's Glenwood Village Shopping Center, will honor gift certificates at 100 percent of their value, but users will only be able to use their Iatria credit toward 50 percent of each service booked. So, if you have a $150 gift certificate and book a $100 service at Synergy, you will be able to apply $50 of your Iatria gift certificate toward that service and redeem the other $100 on additional services later. Gift cards that do not show a value (i.e. magnetically encoded with the value) will be worth a $50 credit towards services. Cards will be accepted starting Sept. 14 until Nov. 25. For details call 919-510-5130. There will be a black out period of October 12-18 while Synergy Spa participates in the national Spa Week promotion.

This Didn't Just Happen!
Sat, 09/05/2009 - 11:43 — KarmaLOLThey were in trouble in 2005 when all of the Super Star employees left and started their own businesses. Erika was so vindictive and greedy. She was going around town with lawsuits on everyone that left. What an insecure spoiled brat. She had the clients fooled and also had all of Raleigh believing she was the greatest business person ever. She was the biggest liar and con artist I've ever met....I would compare her to Madoff....because she made off with your money. Karma is very real....Treat your employees with respect and listen to their suggestions because believe it or not....the employees run the business and the clients come to see them...not the owner of the establishment. Opening 4 spas in a small area doesn't make sense. I guess MBA school didn't teach her that. I knew this day was coming. I am sorry you all got caught in the cross-fire.
