A new co-working space, HUB Raleigh, will open Sept. 15 in downtown Raleigh.
The space at 711 Hillsborough St. will include six private suites, several conference rooms, an event space, a reception area and a communal room with space for 18 desks. An existing co-working space in downtown Raleigh, The Raleigh Forum, also plans to move its space on Wilmington St. to HUB Raleigh.
Co-working is a shared working environment for freelancers, independent contractors, or other remote workers. It's designed to be an alternative to working at home or in a coffee shop. Users of the service typically pay for different levels of access.
Members of HUB Raleigh will also have access to Click Cafe, an on-site area for refreshments, including snacks, coffee and beer.
