Fabrics manufacturer Global Textile Alliance announced Monday that it is expanding its operations in Rockingham County and adding 55 jobs over the next three years.
The company plans to invest $7.4 million in its plant in Reidsville, where it currently employs 130 people.
The annual payroll for the jobs is expected to be more than $1.5 million, or about $27,272 per employee.
Global Textile Alliance, which is headquartered in Reidsville, about 90 miles northwest of Raleigh, will receive a $150,000 grant from the One North Carolina fund if it meets hiring and investment goals.
The company makes bedding and upholstery fabrics for U.S. furniture brands.
