Triangle restauranteur Lou Moshakos has pulled the plug on his Bentley's restaurant in Cary.
The restaurant's last day was Sunday.
In a statement released today, Moshakos said he's planning to focus on his other restaurants, which include the ever-expanding Carolina Ale House chain. His LM Restaurant Group currently has 12 Ale House locations and is planning to open four more this year.
Bentley's opened in September 2006. Moshakos sai it "was not performing up to expectations. Due to the expansion of the Carolina Ale House and time spent on our other brands in Wilmington, we feel like this is the right move for now."
LM Restaurants will maintain control of the Bentley's location in Cary's Crossroads, and it looks like that site may be converted into a different restaurant at some point in the future. But no details about the replacement have been released. Guests with reservations at Bentley's will be contacted and given the opportunity to transfer their reservation to LM Restaurants' Taverna Agora Greek restaurant in Raleigh, or customers may call 919-851-0858.

Food offerings at Crossroads
Tue, 01/26/2010 - 08:12 — NCSU1998This isn't really relevant to Bentley's, but I would love to see an ice cream/yogurt shop in the crossroads area that serves sugar free items. Marble Slab is closed now, and Coldstone doesn't offer anything sugar free. I imagine Bentley's won't answer my calling, but it would be awesome if someone (other than me!) were willing!
