The state has released its 2013 North Carolina travel guide, which is available for free as a digital version or in book form.
The guide covers more than 400 attractions and nearly 4,000 accommodations. Two covers are available for the guide, one a picture of kayakers in the Nantahala Gorge and one of the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.
The 174-page guide is available for free at all nine of the state's welcome centers. You can also place orders for the guide by calling 1-800-847-4862 or by going to www.visitnc.com.
