That seems to be the case after the school board announced they will have a special meeting tomorrow evening to discuss "confidential personnel issues."
About two weeks ago, school board chairwoman Minnie Forte-Brown said the board would make their pick by the end of this month. With the proposed 2010-11 budget being the focus of Thursday's monthly school board meeting and an unlikely chance that the board will meet on Friday, it seems that Durham will have a new schools superintendent tomorrow.
Forte-Brown, when reached by phone moments ago, only added to the suspense.
"Tomorrow's a big day," she said, not elaborating on anything else. "Just be in the room."
That we will.
