Neighborhoods in council's sights

Financial realities allowing, Durham’s inner-city neighborhoods may soon get more attention from City Hall. 
 
City council members made that clear at a budget retreat with city administrators Friday morning, where they also heard a briefing on the city’s federal stimulus prospects and reminders of the economic squeeze.
 
“We’ve got to turn our focus, even in challenging times,” said councilman Mike Woodard, who is up for reelection this year.
