Man charged with indecent exposure at Duke Park

Bookmark and Share

Robert Thomas Perry, 57, was arrested Friday on charges of indecent exposure. Two witnesses told police they saw a man exposing his penis at the park and filed a complaint.

Perry, whose address was listed as 8 Caspian Court, was released on $1,000 bail and given a court date of Oct. 28.

When contacted Sunday, Robert Clark, one of two witnesses who made the complaint, declined to comment.

Calls to Perry's residence were not returned Sunday.

I am in total agreement with the "Irresponsible" post. I have to say, names of witnesses to crimes should be kept anonymous. Publishing their name in a story like this, is flat out dopey and does not help and in fact hinders the cause of folks reporting crimes to the authorities. Geez, wake up will you!

Irresponsible

I'm sorry, but a witness to a crime is not only contacted by the local paper for comment but also has his NAME posted in the paper? What purpose does that serve other than to put him in an unnecessary spotlight and encourage future witnesses to crime not to actually report it for fear that they too might end up in the paper? You realize that criminals read papers too right? This is completely irresponsible journalism. Had this guy witnessed a horrific crime of violence you'd probably post a picture of his house on the front page.
