The Durham staff of The News & Observer works the Bull City to dig up the news and tell its stories. Read here about insider stuff that fills their notebooks but doesn't always make the paper.
They'll be printing some new business cards over at Durham Technical Community College.
The college has announced some shuffling of administrators. Here's a breakdown of the new appointments:
Valarie J. Evans - vice president for student learning, development and support.
Edward E. Moore, vice president for finance and administration.
Wanda S. Maggart, vice president for institutional advancement.
Jamie Glass, vice president for corporate and continuing education.
Evans joins Durham Tech from Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Va., where she was associate vice president of academic services.
Moore returned to Durham Tech earlier this summer. He retired from the college in 1999 after 28 years working in various capacities and then spent five years working with the Durham Housing Authority.
Maggart worked for several years at Durham Tech in the early ‘80s andreturned to the college in 1995. During the nine years she was away, she worked at College of The Albemarle and Bertie County Schools. Since returning to Durham Tech, she has served as special assistant to the
president, director of Marketing and Communications, vice president for Institutional Support Services, and senior vice president for Institutional and Student Support Services.
Glass received a new title. She was formerly vice president of continuing education.
