Durham immigrant solidarity group forming

Bookmark and Share

An Immigrant Solidarity Committee is forming in Durham.

The committee is a project of the American Friends Service Committee. In a release, the group says it is concerned about “workplace raids creating a culture of fear, routine traffic stops leading to detention for months and deportations tearing apart families.”

The group’s first meeting is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Durham Friends Meeting, 404 Alexander Drive. For information, contact Lori Khamala at 336-413-8905 or LKhamala@afsc.org
