City on the move

Bookmark and Share

Two city departments are taking up permanent residence at the remodeled Golden Belt factory.

As of Monday, Neighborhood Improvement Services and Community Development will reside on the third and second floors, respectively, at 807 E. Main St.

Due to their move, neither department will have telephone or email connection with the outside world from Thursday until Monday’s opening of business. Once relocated, Neighborhood Improvement’s phone number will be 560-1647 and fax number 560-1790.

Community Development’s phone number will remain 560-4750 and fax 560-4090. Employee email addresses in both departments will be unchanged.

Citizens requiring either department’s service between Thursday and Monday may call Durham One Call, 560-1200.

The departments have been housed at 401 E. Lakewood Ave., in the Heritage Square shopping center.
Like Golden Belt, Heritage Square is owned by Durham developer Andrew Rothschild.

Moving business residence is

Moving business residence is a complex thing to do and needs a lot preparation work. How long did this move last? I am going to move my business residence but in my case I'll have to use storage facilities for a while until the new residence is ready for us. The idea of moving really stresses me out.
