It's almost time for our annual Best of the West reader survey. It will be available on our home page the entire month of April.
I'll leave the survey for our readers — but I have run across a few places in my seven years of living here that I think are worth raving about.
Daniels. Simply scrumptuous. And the ambience beats the chains.
Koka Booth Amphitheater. If you've never been to a Summerfest concert you're missing great music and a night under the stars (or an umbrella, which is still fun).
Best place for a bike ride: the Cary greenway. It takes you on a beautiful ride along Lake Crabtree. If you're in good shape, you might even make it all the way through Umstead Park.
Best place for a walk with your dog: Apex Community Park. The shady path around the lake is just the right length for a walk.
OK your turn, readers. Comment on a few of your favorite things in western Wake County.
