West's Adams, SSS's Barbour help East win again

The East All-Stars won their second straight N.C. Coaches Association All-Star Football Game Wednesday night in Greensboro and a duo from Johnston County helped lead the way.

West Johnston High graduate Michael Adams ran for the East's final touchdown of the night in a 27-3 win over the West All-Stars.

Smithfield-Selma High head coach Anthony Barbour was also an assistant coach for the East squad.

Last year's winning East squad was under the direction of former SSS head coach and Johnston County resident Joe McCullen.

The back-to-back wins by the East squad are the first for 'our' side of the state since 1995-96.
