Sterling Newman Central Catholic is in the playoffs for the 20th time and is 38-16 in playoff games. The Comets won state titles in 1990, '94 and '04 and finished second in 1993 and '98. John Van Duyne went 90 yards for a TD on Wilmington's first play from scrimmage, Cort Scheel scored on a 94-yard run and Jeremy Bailey raced 57 yards to paydirt. Scheel totaled 170 yards in 12 carries and caught 4 passes for 73. Van Duyne chipped in with 125 yards in 7 rushes and 2 catches for 22. Bailey added 76 in 5 carries and Zach McWilliams 51 in 5. Quarterback Colin Webb has hit 57-of-95 passes for 1,076 yards and guides an offense that has turned the ball over 10 times all season.
