The annual Johnston County Easter Invitational baseball tournament is back to its traditional eight-team format after plans were announced to go with just seven teams last week. Corinth Holders has joined the tournament field. The event runs March 31 - April 3 at South Johnston High School's Bruce Coats Field.
The field includes Johnston County schools Smithfield-Selma, Clayton, Cleveland, West Johnston, Corinth Holders and South Johnston along with Middle Creek and Rocky Mount.

Game 1: Middle Creek vs. Cleveland, noon
Game 2: Rocky Mount vs. Clayton, 2
Home Run Derby, 4
Game 3: Corinth Holders vs. Smithfield-Selma, 5:30
Game 4: West Johnston vs. South Johnston, 7:30
Monday, April 2
Game 5, Consolation: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, noon
Game 6, Consolation: Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 2:30
