The regularly-scheduled boys soccer match between South Johnston and Clayton set for next Thursday (Sept. 11) at South will also be the championship match of The Herald Cup boys' soccer tournament. The match will be played at 6:30 p.m. The two teams will also play a junior varsity match that day at 4:30 p.m. at South.
D. Clay Best has served as the sports editor of The Herald since 1997 and has covered high school sports since 1992. He's gone through many neighborhoods of NFL-fandom including the Cowboys, Raiders and Patriots and is in limbo right now.
