Dutch finishes second at USA Track & Field Championships
Clayton native Johnny Dutch continued his impressive track and field season Sunday, finishing second in the men's 400-meter hurdles at the U.S. Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. Dutch finished in 48.18 seconds, his best time ever and the second-fastest time in the world this year. He also qualified for the World Championships to be held in August in Berlin.
We'll have more on Johnny's performance in this week's print edition of the Garner-Clayton Record.

D. Clay Best has served as the sports editor of The Herald since 1997 and has covered high school sports since 1992. He's gone through many neighborhoods of NFL-fandom including the Cowboys, Raiders and Patriots and is in limbo right now. If that's not enough to require therapy, he also has way too much brain space filled with useless info on the legendary '80s TV series "Miami Vice."
